About Hollywood
I'm going to be honest about this: Hollywood was a failure. But the more I think about it, the more I realise how bad an idea it was in the first place. Yes, there was a potentially worldwide audience passing through that space, but there were also maybe twenty or thirty other people hanging around trying to push pieces of paper into their hands - and as many performers dressed as Willy Wonka or Michael Jackson trying to get tourists to stop for photographs and who knows what else. It was, quite simply, the wrong space.
Finding the right space for this piece, it would seem, is proving difficult, and then it hit me; the index cards need to be scanned and posted online. How obvious is that?!
There are twenty-eight scenario cards here, and I will post two a day for the next two weeks. Read more about these cards here.
Oh - and, to save confusion, this intervention needs a name. From now on, it will be called "Imagine...".

Projected Futures
I have also realised that I have three cards left for the Projected Futures project which, it would seem, I haven't even written about on this blog yet.
Projected Futures is another intervention taking the form of "predictions", if you like, of events that will happen in the future. Each is dated and time-stamped for a future moment. The prophecies range from the mundane to the really quite extreme. Seven of these index cards have been hidden in books in the Warwick University library already. Another three sit in an envelop here, waiting for homes.
I am proposing, then, to send these three out in envelopes to anybody that wants them. Drop your address in the Cat Alive inbox (that is, cat.alive.theatre@gmail.com) and the cards will be sent out to the first three received.
Projected Futures will be an on-going project, updated periodically. Keep your eyes peeled!
